The Founcational implementation of the Safire Design system is done using CSS. This provides a base layer upon with framework spefic component library can be implemented. For example react component library.

Foundational approach create a unified abstract implementaipon on the Design system principals that creates consistent look and feel of the design system no matter the framework or platform.

It has been built following the open closed principle, so that extending it becomes a piece of cake.
